Pain disorder is the name given to a syndrome whose distinct symptom is pain.<\/p>\n

The most common age of onset is between the ages of 40 and 50. The rate of the disorder showing up in first degree relatives has increased.<\/p>\n

Pain is perceived as the penance for some crime or sin. Sometimes it can be is associated with anger.<\/p>\n

The pain is persistent because the afflicted person believes that he deserves it.<\/p>\n

Clinically the presence of distinct pain is required. Some researchers believe that chronic pain is a type of depression.<\/p>\n

Pain disorder is chronic.<\/p>\n
